Atticus vs. Diamond SIS
The modern alternative to Diamond SIS.
Diamond has run career colleges for more than twenty years, and many schools are still on it because moving felt harder than staying. Atticus™ is the move made easy: every student event — from inquiry through placement — turned into dated, examiner-ready proof, live in 2–4 weeks, from $10 per student, with your history intact.

Switching from Diamond
Four weeks. Your history comes with you.
Week 1
Diagnostic call. We export students, programs, cohorts, ledger balances, and documents from Diamond and map them to Atticus. Your catalog, refund policy, and calendar become the single source both the catalog and the enrollment agreement generate from.
Week 2
Records land in Atticus. Attendance, SAP standing, placements, and signed agreements are loaded with their original dates preserved — nothing is re-keyed by hand. Staff are onboarded on the pages they use every day.
Weeks 3–4
Parallel run. Attendance posts in Atticus, the LMS syncs, and the first examiner binder is produced from live data. Diamond stays readable until you are satisfied; then it is archived, not deleted.
Common questions
Leaving Diamond SIS
Is Atticus a drop-in replacement for Diamond SIS?
For most career schools, yes: registration, attendance, SAP, ledger, placement, documents, and complaints are all on the Atticus student record. If you want to keep Diamond for accounting or financial-aid packaging, Atticus runs beside it and owns the compliance record.
What happens to our historical data?
It comes with you. Students, programs, cohorts, attendance history, SAP standing, placements, ledger balances, and documents are migrated with their original dates preserved, and Diamond is kept readable until you sign off.
How long does the switch take?
Two to four weeks from the diagnostic call to go-live, with a parallel run in weeks three and four. Configuration, migration, most LMS integrations, and staff onboarding are included, plus 30 days of support.
Why do schools leave Diamond?
The reasons reviewers give publicly are a cumbersome interface, reporting that requires manual work, and difficulty scaling. The reason directors give us is simpler: when the examiner asked, the system could not prove it. Atticus is built for that moment.
Is this comparison fair to Diamond?
Diamond's column is based on its public website and independent review sites as of September 2026; reviewer comments are quoted as opinions. If Diamond's public information changes, tell us and we will update the page.
